After having a smartphone for nearly 3 years now, I’ve been wondering when certain companies (like Samsung for instance) were going to team up and add other/better features to their phones. For example, why don’t cell phone companies team up with Nikon, Canon, or Sony to make a better camera? We’ve all taken pictures with our cell phone cameras and have been disappointed many times with the outcome. Why don’t they team up with Bose or Dolby to create better speakers and/or phone hardware? How many times have you used speaker phone and can barely hear the other person? How about listening to music on your phone with an app like Pandora? It would be nice to actually hear the bass in your music instead of just the midrange and treble frequencies. Why don’t they team up with Garmin or Tom Tom to create a better GPS? Lord knows we’ve all had our phone GPS mess up on numerous occasions!
Not only would you have a better product, but you would have a name brand to back it up with as well. Plus, think about the marketing abilities of having companies team up. It could be big!
